The scalability, ease of containment, and ability to recover metals from low grade or complex feed stocks are some of the primary benefits of hydrometallurgy.
Hydrometallurgical processing typically occurs after the primary mineral beneficiation circuit. Within the scope of hydrometallurgy there are numerous processes to both extract and purify metals; nearly all major mineral systems and metals find application within hydrometallurgy.
